Questions, a product that would not scan, data that looks wrong, or anything else about Daat — this page is where to start.
Email us at hey@daat-app.com.
Write in Hebrew, English, Spanish or Arabic — whichever you prefer. We read every message and reply as soon as we can.
What to include
A few details help us answer on the first reply instead of the third:
- The product barcode, if the question is about a specific product.
- Your device and operating system, for example iPhone 15 with iOS 26.
- The app version, shown at the bottom of the Profile screen.
- A screenshot, when something looks wrong on screen.
Common questions
A product I scanned was not found
Our catalogue does not cover every product yet. When a barcode is missing, the app offers to report it, and the product goes into our queue to be added. Israeli products have the most complete data today; coverage elsewhere comes from Open Food Facts and keeps growing.
The information about a product is wrong
Please tell us, and include the barcode. Product data reaches us from several sources and can be incomplete or out of date. We check every report and correct the record. The package label always prevails over what the app shows.
How do I delete my account?
In the app: Profile, then "Delete account" at the bottom, then confirm. This permanently deletes the account and its data. You can also request deletion from the /delete-account page on this site, or by emailing us.
Why does Daat ask for the camera?
Only to read a barcode, and to photograph a label when you choose to report a product. Nothing is recorded, and the app never asks for the microphone. You can decline and still browse the app.
Can I use Daat without an account?
Yes. Tap "Continue as guest" on the first screen. Signing in with Apple or Google keeps your profile across devices.
Is Daat medical advice?
No. Daat presents product information and compares it against preferences you chose yourself. It is not a medical device, it does not diagnose or treat anything, and it does not replace a doctor or dietitian. If you or anyone you shop for has an allergy, do not rely on the app — read the package.
Privacy and terms
Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and why, and the Terms of Use set out the rules for using the Service. Both are linked from the bottom of the home page.
